A Key Biscayne Wedding- Pronouncing his name correctly.
After the rehearsal the groom came to me and said please say my name the way my mother says it. She is in India and is, unfortunately, not able to make it.
I choked back the sadness from the news and made it my mission to say his name- accent and all. It is pronounced "marezod" although it is spelled Meherzad- I kept pronouncing the "h" and the "a" during the rehearsal.
As their Day of Coordinator and their Officiant I had to make sure that I had the "i"s dotted and the "t"s crossed. Marezod, marezod, marezod- over and over again, Monica- throw in the accent. Wait... what is his middle name?
